Creation Reformation

Student Summer School, 29 June – 1 July, Highbury, London

Creation Reformation Update

We are pleased to announce that Dr Todd Wood, President of Core Academy of Science, and co-host of the Let's Talk Creation podcast will be joining us. His talks will include an overview of creation biology and how we can understand hominin fossils. Dr Brad Green (Union University) will speak on Augustine's doctrine of creation.

There will be research talks relating to UK geology and biology, the passion narrative in John's gospel (yes, there is a creation connection!) and much else. You will hear personal stories from the speakers of their experiences studying as creationists and there will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

The event will begin at 2pm, Monday 29 June and end with lunch on Wednesday 1 July. Limited places remain so get in touch soon to reserve your place.

Creation Reformation will provide an induction into the latest creationist research. Covering topics across the range of academic disciplines, it is for students who want to explore how we understand God’s world, through the lens of God’s word.

Creation Reformation signals a return to the roots of western science, and academic study more widely: investigation of the world guided by the foundation of Scripture. This reformation also reintegrates creation into Christian theology, ensuring coherence between the Christ of creation and the Christ of redemption in the storyline of salvation. Such an approach equips us with a more cogent apologetic to address contemporary concerns of suffering, identity and environmental care amongst others.

Sessions will cover the theological framework and scientific methodology that shapes a creation model, informed by Christian thought down through history. This will be coupled with examples of creationist research, including presentations from students working on our own projects in fields of geology and biology.

We welcome students in all subject areas. This is your opportunity to be part of a Creation Reformation, pioneering a new approach to the study of origins.

Places are limited to 25. To register your interest please complete the form below:
